Core Ideology Project and Eliza's Journey
ACS Hillingdon International School believes that through learning, we can inspire all to make a difference. Our core values expand on this:
In groups, the students identified activities they had experienced at school and created a visual presentation to represent their ideas.
Student Focus Groups
After the Core Ideology Day students were invited in small groups to discuss how they use technology at school across all subject areas and in particular how it helps them to support the core values of the school. This is a great way to discuss with students how they use technology at school and beyond the school gates. Many students don't see the off-line and on-line worlds as being separate and I find it very useful asking them to discuss the best things they like to do with technology as well as their concerns.
One of the students, Eliza, was very eloquent and we took her words and created the movie opposite and called it Eliza's Journey. She explains how technology allows her to communicate and co-operate with other people, both in school and across the world. How she needs to be responsible when using technology and likes helping other, especially the younger students to make good decisions. We hope you enjoy the rest of her story.
