'Hello' Books
The second grade students come from many different cultures and speak many languages. The word 'HELLO' in different languages was used as the focus to introduce Book Creator. The lesson began by brainstorming and researching the different ways to say 'HELLO'. Students were then asked to create one page per country finding an appropriate picture, adding text and then recording the word. Wherever possible, students from the country were used to say the 'HELLO" words. These were then published to iBooks and students shared them with each other.
